Climb to the summit of this natural site for a view that encompasses the lagoon, the coast and Thio Valley!
Heading for Thio Mission, on your left you’ll see the magnificent Bota Méré beach, bordered by an avenue of coconut palms. From Thio Mission, there’s a footpath that takes you to the summit of the mountain. Bota Méré is an iconic site located in the Thio delta plain. The inhabitants of the valley consider it a taboo place and it was used as a lookout post during the Second World War. From the summit, you have a stunning 360° panorama of the lagoon, the Canala and Borendy coasts, Thio Valley and the ore carriers loading nickel.
